Enjoying and achieving.

The Infant department is working towards gaining the HQS award.  the module we are currently working on is about enjoying and achieving.  In order to pass the module we need to ensure that;

Parents

  • are valued as the child’s most  “enduring educator”
  • receive information about the play activities
  • are included in the planning and observation cycle
  • are involved in the celebration of their child’s achievements
  • are invited into the setting

Children

  • experience an enabling environment that fosters their enjoyment and achievement
  • are supported by skilled practitioners
  • learn and develop their skills through their own interests
  • have opportunities to play

and we

  • provide a stimulating learning environment
  • ensure provision of a wide range of play experiences building on children’s interests
  • use observation and assessments to support their planning
  • are skilled in supporting children’s play
  • promote the six areas of learning and development

We would like to know how parents views and feelings about the following questions;

What do you feel the setting does best to ensure your child is enjoying and achieving?

What information is given to you about the play experiences offered to your child?

Can you identify any areas for possible development?

Thank you for your comments!
