Thank you to all parents who reposnded, the follwoing comments were made;
Explain how the setting meets your child’s emotional needs?
	Children learn about feelings and learn how to express them.
	The staff listen to the children and understand my child.

Are parents given information about healthy lifestyles?
	Menus
	Snacks that are offered.
	What to put in a healthy lunchbox.

How is your child made aware of a healthy lifestyle?
	Lots of different opportunities, swimming, horse riding, trampolining, P.E with a specialist teacher.
	Provided with healthy snacks.

How does the setting support children’s wellbeing?
	Parents expressed they are very pleased in the way the school focuses on being healthy and healthy eating.

Can you identify any areas for possible development?
	Some parents were unsure if they had been provided with information about healthy lifestyles and about how hygiene is taught.

Thank you to all of the parents who wrote on the comment forms. The following points were raised;

What do you feel the setting does best to ensure your child is able to make a positive contribution?
•	Helps her to develop and grow with the tools and skills she is taught at school.

What reassures you that your child is happy and involved in the setting?
•	She talks about her day.
•	My child is progressing, he is eager to come to school, his confidence is growing and he is happy.
•	He tells me!

How does the setting support your child’s needs as an individual?
•	His confidence, behaviour and self belief is growing continually and we feel he is included and secure at Woolgrove.
•	Home school book between home and school.
•	Working with him to teach him how best to behave.

How does your child show that they are involved?
•	He is happy and confident and speaks about his day.
•	He brings work home with him and talks about it.
•	He is motivated to learn.
•	He talks about his day and what he has enjoyed.

Can you identify any areas for possible development?
•	To continue to engage with parents in communicating the school goals and the children’s needs.
•	Communicating with carers and working consistently with rules between home and school.

We have successfully completed this module and will be working on the Being Healthy module next.

Thank-you to all of the parents who returned their questionnaires. Parents made the following comments about How Woolgrove keeps their children safe and how the children show that they feel safe at school;
* Children are happy to come to school and when they go home.
* Children are more confident.
* The escorts on the taxi's being the same everyday so their children are happy to come to school.
* The staff are well trained, understanding and caring.
* The secure fences, high handles and entry system.
A suggestion for improvement was to change the gate locks as these nip fingers and a child's hand could get caught in them.

Any other comments about safety at Woolgrove will be gratefully received!

Hi Kyla,

Thanks for your response to our blog page...you're the first ever!!

An active citizen is in short being a good citizen and going out into the local community and taking part in something worthwhile.
During Citizenship Week more than 400 pupils from 6 schools rose to the challenge of being a good citizen by taking part in the first Letchworth Garden City Council Citizenship Week. Cllr. Angela Smale who helped to organise the week, said “I have to pay tribute to our young people. Their
efforts were absolutely amazing, they showed real community spirit
and I think the future of Letchworth is safe in their hands.”

I hope this has answered your question and thanks again for taking the time to read about what we do at Woolgrove School.
